If you use Outlook 2010 to manage your time, you have to make sure that you customize it to your work schedule. Outlook 2010 allows you to designate what your work schedule is (time and days), what day you consider to be the first day of the week, and which day is the first of the year. Once you’ve specified these parameters, you calendars look and feel will reflect these choices. In the how-to below, I will designate Monday as the first day of the week, a work schedule from Monday-Friday from 8AM to 7PM.
Outlook 2019 is an email software program developed by Microsoft. Outlook for Windows is part of the Microsoft 365 suite (formerly known as Office 365) but it can be downloaded independently. This email client communication program makes it easier for you to view, store, and organize all your messages.
By setting up these parameters you help others become aware of what your work hours are and at the same time help yourself manage your time better.

1. Click on File to open the Backstage.

3. When the Outlook Options window opens, click on Calendar in the left pane.
4. Use the drop-downs and check boxes to customize the following information:
- Start time
- End time
- Work week
- First day of week
- First week of year
Click OK to save the changes.
You will notice that the hours designated as work hours appear lighter than those outside of the specified time. This helps you and others identify what hours and work days you are available.

Part 1: Enable Yahoo Mail Related Settings
You need to turn off the All apps that use less secure sign in option so that you can let Outlook 2010 connected to your Yahoo email account.
- 1. Navigate to https://mail.yahoo.com/ and login in your Yahoo mail account.
- 2. On Yahoo email webpage, click your profile name and choose Account Info.
- 3. On the account info interface, choose Account Security.
- 4. Turn off the Allow apps that use less secure sign in option.
If you have activated the Two-step verification, you need to click Generate app password and use it as the Yahoo mail sign in password when you set up it in Outlook.

Part 2: Configure Yahoo Mail in Outlook 2010 using IMAP/Pop
First of all, you need to run Microsoft Outlook 2010 and then you can begin the process.
Step-1: Hit the File tab and choose the Info > Add Account option.
Step-2: Click E-mail Account and then Choose Manually configure server settings or additional server types. Then click Next.
Step-3: Choose Internet E-mail and click Next.
Step-4: In the following interface, you need to complete the Internet E-mail detailed information. Just as the below screenshot shows, the most important part is the Server Information.
For the IMAP account, the Server Information should be:
Account Type: IMAP
Incoming mail server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing mail server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
For the POP3 account, the Server Information should be:

Account Type: POP3
Incoming mail server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing mail server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Moreover, it is worth mentioning that the User Name in Logon Information should be your full Yahoo mail address. And the password is your Yahoo mail password. But if you enable the Two-step Verification, it should be your App password.
Step-5: Click More Settings and tick the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
Step-6: Click Advanced option and finish the Server Port settings.
About IMAP settings:
Incoming server (IMAP): 993
Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
Outgoing server (SMTP): 587
Use the following type of encrypted connection: TLS
About POP3 settings:
Incoming server (POP3): 995
Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
Outgoing server (SMTP): 587
Use the following type of encrypted connection: TLS
Step-7: After that, you can click the OK button and go back to Internet E-mail settings. To connect your Yahoo mail to Outlook, you can click the Next button now. When you get the successful news, click Close.
Step-8: Click Finish in the pop-up Window.
